Kind of weird, are you sure that installation went fine and try running this command in a new terminal tab

Also, be sure to have the npm binary path into your PATH environment variable.

I am using Ubuntu 18.10 but I keep getting “adonis: command not found” I added /npm/bin to my PATH: “~/npm/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games:/usr/local/games:/snap/bin” But still no luck, I keep getting the same message. How can I resolve this?? PLEASE HELP!

I think your problem is related to the npm installation. Can you share the exact steps you used to install npm?

Fixed my problem in Ubuntu 18.10. The npm bin path for the env variable is ~/.npm-global/bin. If you want to make the path stick to your env variable, add export PATH="~/.npm-global/bin:$PATH" to the end of your ~/.profile file and restart your computer, otherwise you will have to add that path every time you start a new terminal session.
