What is the best way to run migrations on a remote database like Amazon RDS? My app is running on Elastic Beanstalk, and was hoping to avoid having to ssh into the server.
Found that you can run the migration commands remotely using
node ace migration:run when you deploy
If you have the remote host config in your .env file you can run migrations from your local machine, so long as you’re able to access the remote server (ie: it’s not locked inside a vpc on aws that isn’t remotely accessible)
I was on a VPC and couldn’t get there. Was lost in the IAM world.
